Hana Alisa Omer, a Slovakian-born artist, has spent over five decades channeling her creativity into a profound exploration of the depths of existence. Born in 1947, Omer’s artistic journey began at the School of Art Industry in Bratislava before she embarked on a transformative odyssey that took her from Israel to Prague, leaving an indelible mark on her artistic expression.

Hana Alisa’s artistic evolution is a testament to her unwavering commitment to bridging paradoxes and forging connections between disparate worlds. Upon relocating to Israel in 1967, she immersed herself in the vibrant artistic community, studying at the prestigious Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem. It was during this time that Hana Alisa’s oeuvre began to take shape, marked by expressionist human body drawings and the evocative cycle “Innerscapes.”

In the tranquil setting of the Ein Hod artist village, Hana Alisa delved deeper into her exploration of the human form, teaching yoga and meticulously capturing the energy and anatomy structures of the body. Inspired by visionary architect Dr. Yitzhaq Hayutman, Hana Alisa embarked on a transcendent journey with her cycle “Heavenly Jerusalem,” a series of paintings infused with intricate spiritual, mythical, and historical metaphors.

Tragedy struck in 2010 when Hana Alisa’s home was consumed by a forest fire, prompting her to seek solace and renewal in the enchanting city of Prague. Immersed in Prague’s rich tapestry of history and mythology, Hana Alisa found inspiration anew, leading to her groundbreaking exhibition “Connection Prague – Jerusalem” in 2017.

However, Hana Alisa’s artistic quest was far from over. Driven by a profound sense of purpose, she embarked on her latest artwork, “Heavenly Prague.” Rooted in the city’s millennium-long history and its symbolic connection to Jerusalem, the painting is a testament to Hana Alisa’s ability to distill complex concepts into visual poetry.

“Heavenly Prague” is a symphony of symbolism, with the city’s iconic landmarks juxtaposed against celestial motifs and mystical imagery. At its core lies the dynamic interplay between masculine and feminine energies, embodied by the mythical prophetess Libuše and King Charles IV. The composition, intricately woven with references to the Kabalistic Tree of Life, invites viewers on a journey through the layers of Prague’s collective consciousness.

Hana Alisa’s art transcends mere aesthetics; it serves as a bridge between cultures, religions, and spiritual realms. Through her visionary creations, she invites us to ponder the timeless questions of existence and our place within the vast tapestry of the universe.

In a world often fragmented by division and discord, Hana Alisa’s art stands as a beacon of unity and understanding. It speaks to the universal human experience, reminding us of our shared humanity and the interconnectedness of all things.

As Hana Alisa continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, her work serves as a reminder of the transformative power of creativity and the boundless possibilities that lie within the human spirit. In her hands, art becomes not merely a reflection of reality, but a portal to infinite realms of imagination and enlightenment.

In conclusion, Hana Alisa Omer’s artistic journey is a testament to the enduring power of creativity to transcend boundaries and illuminate the depths of the human soul. Through her masterful works, she invites us to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery, forging connections that transcend time, space, and culture.
