We invite you to embark on a journey of transformation and optimism through the lens of renowned photographer Cynthia Karalla. With your support, we aim to raise a minimum of $7,500 to bring to life a beautifully crafted book featuring Cynthia’s top 14 projects. Each project is a testament to the power of turning life’s negatives into positives. Cynthia Karalla’s work is more than just photography; it’s a visual narrative of resilience and hope. Her images capture moments of profound change and renewal, offering a beacon of light in times of darkness.

Cynthia’s book will feature 14 projects spanning from 2004 to 2024. These projects are born from negative actions transformed into positives, reflecting Cynthia’s studies in Hermetic philosophy and Alchemy. Alchemy, in this context, is about taking something common and turning it into something extraordinary. This metaphor underpins her project “The 8 Days of the Untitled Mona,” where transformation comes from within. It’s about learning to see what’s in front of us with new eyes, understanding that we are not victims but recipients of gifts from the universe to learn and grow.

The 8 Days of the Untitled Mona: An exploration of inner transformation, turning the mundane into the sublime. Reflections of Resilience: Capturing moments of personal and communal recovery. Shadows and Light: A study in contrasts, showing how darkness can be turned into light. Urban Renewal: Depicting the rebirth of neglected spaces into thriving communities. Nature’s Reclamation: The healing power of nature in the face of environmental destruction. Faces of Hope: Portraits of individuals who have overcome significant challenges. Whispers of the Past: Reviving historical narratives to find relevance and lessons for today. Fragments of Dreams: Abstract representations of personal aspirations and their realizations. Metamorphosis: The physical and metaphorical transformation of spaces and people. Echoes of Silence: Finding peace and strength in solitude. Bridges of Connection: Stories of relationships mended and strengthened. Tides of Change: The constant, inevitable process of change and adaptation. Eyes of Innocence: Capturing the purity and potential of childhood. Wings of Freedom: The ultimate realization of personal and communal freedom.

The book is being printed on paper—100text matte for the pages and 120text matte for the cover. With 100 pages filled with images from these 14 projects. Cynthia is working closely with printers in NYC, ensuring a hands-on, step-by-step process.

By contributing to this Kickstarter campaign, you are not just funding a book; you are supporting a vision of turning negatives into positives. Your pledge will help cover the costs of high-quality printing, ensuring that Cynthia’s images are presented in the best possible way.

To thank you for your support, backers will receive exclusive rewards:
