Marina Shaw, the legendary soul and jazz singer recognized for her hit tune “California Soul,” has died. She is 81 years previous.
Shaw’s daughter, Marla Bradshaw, shared information of her loss of life in a video posted on Fb on Friday. The reason for her loss of life is unclear.
“It’s with a really heavy coronary heart that I announce for myself and my household that our beloved mom, the one that you love icon and artist, Marlena Shaw, handed away at 12:03 as we speak,” Bradshaw mentioned. “She was at peace. . We had been at peace. … She went to hearken to a few of her favourite songs.”
