Libuša Němcová, an artist born in Košice, Slovakia, has a story that intertwines the responsibilities of everyday life with a passion for art. As many adults do, she juggles her responsibilities with her creative pursuits, working as a 24-hour home helper abroad while nurturing her artistic talents.

From a young age, Libuša showed an inclination toward drawing, but her artistic aspirations were often sidelined by life’s demands. Despite this, she remained creative in various forms, such as dancing in several groups and singing in church. Her artistic journey took a significant turn during her second marriage, which empowered her to fight for her dreams and reignited her passion for art.

With her two children growing up, Libuša found more time to devote to drawing and painting. In 2016, she moved to Switzerland as a home helper, where she fell in love with the stunning natural landscapes and the majestic Alps. This environment provided the perfect backdrop for her to explore her artistic talents further. She began self-educating through videos and books, delving into the world of painting.

In 2019, Libuša took a significant step in her artistic journey by applying for and being accepted into a course led by the renowned artist Didier Le Mar at the Beautiful Art Gallery in Košice, Slovakia. Didier Le Mar recognized her potential and helped her hone her skills, especially in oil painting, a technique that deeply resonated with her. She began with landscapes and progressed to more complex subjects, including portraits.

Currently, Libuša is continuing her education in advanced oil painting techniques, each new piece presenting a fresh challenge and an opportunity to express her feelings about the beauty she sees in nature and architecture. Her work is inspired by the places she has traveled, particularly the picturesque landscapes of Switzerland and Slovakia.

Libuša’s dedication to her craft has not gone unnoticed. From December 15, 2024, she has had a permanent presentation at the Beautiful Art Gallery in Slovakia, which is set to move to the historical city of Levoča in June. Her recent works focus on the theme of Slovakia, reflecting her deep connection to her homeland. One piece is “Spiš Castle,” an oil painting that captures the grandeur of the largest castle in Central Europe, located near Spišská Nová Ves.

In addition to her paintings, Libuša has written several e-books about her travels, particularly focusing on Swiss castles. Her journey as an artist has been marked by continuous learning and growth, a testament to her resilience and passion.

Libuša was selected for the Top Nomination at the International Artist of Europe Award in Paris, France, where she received a certificate and participated in another presentation. This recognition is a testament to her skill and the emotional depth she brings to her work.

Libuša’s story is one of perseverance and the pursuit of passion despite life’s challenges. Her ability to balance her professional responsibilities with her artistic aspirations is truly inspiring. Each of her paintings is a window into her soul, reflecting her experiences, emotions, and the beauty she finds in the world around her.
